Bryan surprised Christie with a trip to
Charleston to celebrate her 30th birthday. We stayed at the highly
recommended Elliott House Inn and ate dinner at Magnolia's and 82 Queen.
We packed the weekend with tours...walking tour of the Battery on Saturday
morning, a carriage tour that afternoon, a ghost tour Saturday night and a ferry
ride to Fort Sumter on Sunday. We missed Brandon, but knew he was in good
hands with Christie's mom, who drove all the way from MD to watch him for the
weekend! We had a great time and can't wait to go back!!

We went to Virginia Tech for the day to attend
the first game of the season. This was Brandon's first full-length game
and he did surprisingly well. We made it to the 4th quarter and left with
about 5 minutes to go. The Hokies won...49 to 28!
