Thanksgiving 2002

We made our annual trip to Holden Beach, NC for Thanksgiving this year.
As usual, we rented the "Great Place" and stayed there with Christie's parents,
sister, aunts, uncles and cousins. Bryan's family also joined us this
year...staying just a few houses away! Despite the chilly weather (50s &
WINDY), Brandon & Alex spent some time playing in the sand and the "big boys"
got in a little football practice in between racing matches on the Playstation
2. We took advantage of the built-in babysitters (aka grandparents) and
went to see the new Harry Potter movie on Friday night.

- Thanksgiving Dinner-
Everyone gathered at the "Great Place" for a wonderful Thanksgiving
feast!
|
|
|
|
|
|
- More Family Fun-
Brandon spent the morning playing on the beach and the evening playing
with Alex.
|
|
|
- Goodbyes & Drives- After Christie's
parents & sister left to drive home to MD, we did a little sightseeing
with Bryan's family.
|
|
|
- Homeward Bound- We took some
pictures on the beach before heading back to Charlotte.
|
|
|

Thanks to Ben & Victoria's turkey & stuffing,
Bonnie's green bean casserole, Bobbie's sweet potatoes and Elke's desserts, we
all gained about 5 lbs with this meal! Everything was delicious!

so we bundled up the boys for some more fun in the sand!

After Christie's parents & sister left to
drive home to MD, we spent a few hours driving around with Bryan's family.
We checked out Little River, SC (a bust) and then stopped at a Christmas store
in Calabash. We enjoyed looking at all of the ornaments & decorations, but
the boys preferred the hammocks outside!!

We woke up Sunday to beautiful weather...the
best of the weekend! We took some last minute pictures before hitting the
road!
