Holden Beach Vacation - June 30 - July 6, 2002

We continued Brandon's birthday celebration on Sunday by heading
to Holden Beach to meet up with Christie's family. We spent a week
there...swimming, sunbathing, playing in the sand, visiting with family, and
eating Ryan's awesome food! We were lucky to have good weather the whole
week...every day was hot and sunny! Brandon loved the ocean and had lots
of fun playing in the sand and riding in his new wagon. Bryan's parents
and uncle joined us on Tuesday night for a joint birthday celebration for
Brandon and Bryan's dad. We also spent some time with Christie's
grandfather, aunt & cousins who live close by. As always, the week went
WAY too fast and we were sad to see it end.

- Dinner Out- We went to Capt Pete's for
dinner on Monday night.
|

|
|
|
|
- Beach Birthday- We threw a joint
birthday party for Brandon and his Opa.
|
|
|
- More Beach Fun!- Bryan's parents met
us on the beach for a few hours on Wednesday.
|
|
|
|
|
|
- July 4th- We had dinner at Betty's
Waterfront Restaurant.
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Last Night- Here are some shots from our
last night at Holden Beach.

|
|
|
We arrived in Holden on Sunday night, so we were ready to hit the beach on
Monday morning! We loaded up Brandon's new wagon (birthday gift from Nanny
& Pop-Pop) and spent the day playing in the sand and in the ocean...
|

Bryan's parents came down for one night and we threw a joint birthday party
for Brandon and Bryan's dad. (Yes, Brandon was born on his Opa's
birthday!) Others in attendance were Bryan's Uncle Henry (who entertained
us all with his amusing stories), Christie's Pop-Pop, aunt and cousins. We
feasted on Ryan's wonderful cooking...grilled shrimp, salmon & tuna...and
Nanny's delicious cake!

We celebrated the Fourth by dressing up in our
patriotic gear and heading to the beach with beer, music and sparklers.
Thanks to Caryn & Ryan's iPod, we listened to a medley of patriotic songs while
we watched fireworks in the distance.
