Here are pictures taken during August 2002.

- Dinner at Brixx- We met the Varbles
& Bruzeks for dinner at Brixx in the new Birkdale Village shopping
center.

- Trip to WV- We went to WV for the
weekend to visit Christie's grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins!

- Nathan Stine- Our friends Jeff & Kim
had a baby boy on Christie's birthday!

- Bluefield- Bryan's grandmother passed
away on Friday, August 23rd. We took a trip to Bluefield, WV for
the funeral.

This was our first trip to the new "Birkdale
Village." While we waited for our table, we hung out at the fountain and
listened to the "Vagabonds" belt out some tunes! Then we enjoyed a good
meal and good company at Brixx.

We attended the outdoor concert in Davidson
with the Taylors and Hesters. We weren't thrilled with this month's music
selection (Blues), but we had a good time hanging out and watching the kids have
fun!

We spent the weekend in WV with Christie's
relatives. Christie's parents, sisters and brother-in-law met us there.
We had a great time seeing everyone!

Christie had a great 29th birthday!
First of all, her friends Beth, Tanya & Kristi took her out to dinner on the
19th. They went to the Fuzion Bistro in Cornelius and had a great meal!
On the 20th, Kim Hester & Anna Grace took Christie & Brandon out for lunch.
Finally, Bryan and Brandon surprised her with a dinner at Macaroni Grill where a
table full of playgroup moms and babies were waiting for them!

Our friends Jeff & Kim Stine had a baby boy at
2:05pm on August 20th. (That one won't be hard for us to remember!)
Nathan Emmett Stine was 7 lbs, 6 oz and 21 inches long. We stopped by to
visit them in the hospital that night.

We took an unexpected trip to Bluefield, WV for Bryan's grandmother's
funeral. Of course we wish it could have been under better circumstances,
but it was nice to see everyone. Bryan hadn't seen anyone from that side
of the family in years and Christie had never met some of them.

We went to the Stines' house to celebrate
Sydney's 2nd birthday. The party had a farm theme and all of the kids
received cowboy hats and horsies. What great party favors!!!
