Germany Trip - May 27th, 2002

This day led us into Austria to view the Alps and the small villages dotting
the landscape. The scenery was incredible, with the tall mountains
towering over fields of wildflowers, animals & occasional houses and towns.
We drove up and over the mountains on narrow winding roads and stopped at
several scenic overlooks to witness crashing waterfalls and peaceful lakes.
We drove through several ski resorts and spoke of returning one winter to
experience true Alpine skiing! After hours of driving, we stopped to tour
the famous Austrian town of Salzburg.

Salzburg is considered to be one of the most
beautiful cities in the world and is known as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart and the setting for the movie "The Sound of Music."
